When selecting a funeral director, do not be afraid to ask for a quotation before committing and comparing this with others. When doing this it is important to ensure that all components of the funeral are included so that you are able to make a fair comparison.
Remember also, that the total cost is the important figure in the end. Different firms will have different fee structures, meaning that a quotation listing the lowest Professional Fee (see Financial Considerations), may in fact be the most expensive overall as their casket selection may be more expensive, or various other fees apply for their services and facilities.
Terms are also an important consideration and should be discussed prior to commiting to funeral arrangements.
